GAAP Alert is a free ‘heads-up’, fortnightly e-mail newsletter that alerts you to the major Australian and international financial reporting and related developments. Typically, GAAP Alert addresses Australian financial reporting developments by the AASB, FRC, Financial Reporting Panel; IFRS by the IASB and IFRIC; public sector standards by the IPSASB; international auditing and ethical developments by the IAASB and IFAC; Australian auditing developments by the AUASB; ASIC and APRA regulatory developments; and key dates of outstanding exposure drafts. Each GAAP Alert is approximately 7 pages (2,500 words).
e-GAAP Update is a premium subscription-based email newsletter service that provides you with an in-depth analysis of topic specific issues, such as new and revised accounting standards and interpretations, exposure drafts, Corporations Act revisions, and corporate governance developments. Each newsletter typically contains an introduction, executive summary, identification of the changes from existing GAAP, business implications, key terms, methodology, disclosure, CFO actions items. e-GAAP Updates range from 5 pages (2500 words) to approximately 15 pages (7000 words); at least 12 e-GAAP Updates are issued in a subscription year. Annual subscription fee $295.00 (inc. GST).
Our annual publication Australian GAAP (approx 500 pages) assists you to understand all the rules governing financial reporting as at 1 January each year, together with a review of all the relevant developments. Australian GAAP contains all the requirements of Australian Accounting Standards, Interpretations and the Framework. Categorised into key features, application, measurement, disclosure sections, are the generic accounting standards and industry specific Accounting Standards. Australian GAAP is structured into 10 chapters: Introduction; General Purpose Financial Report; Balance Sheet, Income Statement; Cash Flow Statement; Notes to the Financial Statements; Industry and Activity-based Accounting Standards; Corporations Act and ASX; Selected Exposure Drafts; and ASIC Reporting Requirements and Surveillance Activities. Nine edition of Australian GAAP have been issued. Due to significant changes following from transition to IFRS, Australian GAAP is undergoing a complete revamp for 2008.
