JUSTIN REID, GAAS AND PROFESSIONAL ETHICS EXPERT

Justin Reid B. Comm, CA, joined GAAP Consulting in April 2008 and heads the GAAS and Ethical Standards team. Justin specialises in providing services to auditing profession (i.e., accounting firms, auditor-generals, and accounting bodies). The services include training, quality assurance development and review, and advice. Justin specialises in Caseware training for partners and staff.
Justin Reid has extensive experience in advising on audit, assurance and ethical standards. This experience has been gained working within professional accounting firms as well as within industry across both the private and public sectors. He has recently provided a wide variety of consulting services in the areas of audit, quality assurance and ethical standards.
Immediately prior to joining GAAP Consulting, Justin was Professional Standards and Quality Control Manager for the WHK Group. As part of his role at WHK, Justin provided extensive professional development training for staff on auditing and professional standards. He also developed quality control and independence policies and procedures; and advised principals and staff on their day-to-day application.
Since beginning his career with Moore Stephens (Hughes Fincher) in 1994, Justin has performed a variety of roles and provided a diverse range of professional services to clients. Justin thrives on presenting professional development training to audit & assurance staff and brings to GAAP Consulting a wide variety of skills from which clients can benefit.

- Bachelor of Commerce (Deakin University)
- The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia
EXPERIENCE
Over 14 years experience in audit, assurance and practice management, including:
- Quality Control System design and implementation
- Performance of QA reviews
- Interpretation and advice on auditing standards and professional independence situations
- Consulted, implemented and trained on audit software – CaseWare Working Papers, and
- Developed and delivered training on audit and assurance standards, professional ethics and quality control.
